Well, the differences are:
The PSR 9000/9000 PRO have the older sound generation, Sampler, direct access Vocalist controls, Monochromatic screen, (I'am not sure, but I think less polophony), low resolution styles ( PRO).....No performance assistance. For storage besides floppy, needs to install Hard disk drive....
The PSR 3000 has color screen, No sampler, High resolution styles ( Compatible with Tyros)....128 poliphony, performance assistance, much less heavy, with a USB Floppy/thumb drive and Smart media do not need Hard Drive and is much faster to access styles, midis etc...
If it was my choice, I would pick the 3000.
