Years ago i bought a Roland s-770 sampler. I put in the motherboard and expanded it to full memory. Bought a monitor. At the time I bought it I didn't know that Roland had already planned to discontinue it. Bottom line: It sits here idle and empty of sounds, like a bank w/o money in it. I've tried to download the s-770 system 2.25 over the years but it have never been able to load it into the 770. The Dart program that is supposed to let my mac read roland files has never worked. I wanted to be able to hook up a cd-rom to the s-770 and use the system 2.25 to load the s-770 library. But, it has never worked. Can anyone help me finally use this sampler. My wife has laughed at me for years for having this expensive sampler that I have never used. Please help!!!
Gary

Hi

I recommend checking out the Roland Sampler Yahoo Group and the generalconcepts site.

If you need help with your S-770, let me know (email me at palpullero@myway.com). I just acquired one and I already took it all apart to clean it an replace the LCD backlight. Next is updating the OS, hooking up SCSI devices and start sampling. I need to get more Atari SC1224 monitors for the display (wiring is simple and straigh), and I got an RC-100 remote controller, although I can use one of the mice from my two S-760. I plant to put up a website to support this sampler and maybe you will be able to contribute. I'll keep you posted.

Cheers.
