Friends,

When I went into the Recording section of Synthzone, I realize the amount of activity on that forum is a little low ... so if there's anyone here using either the YAMAHA AW1600 or AW2400 or equivalent and has some tricks and tips to share, please do. Why would I want one/not want one ... etc.

Thanks,

AJ

It is for sure. But I've had it about six months and never even plugged it in.

Better read this from the July issue of EQ(pg 60) before you get an AW1600,at least:

"In 24 bit mode you can also record eight tracks at once, but when you switch to an additional eight tracks, the audio is recorded but cannot be played back! However this whole unit can be connected to your computer via USB and all the files can be exported to the waiting computer for further editing or processing. Then the same tracks can be exported back into the AW1600."

Kind of stomps the concept of an "all-in-one" doesn't it?
