If I recall there are 12 rom-cards totally.
I have;
Mallet, Jazz,Sound effects,Power drums,Ethnic Percussion,Contemporary percussion,Electronic
I must have somewhere three others but cannot find them now...
Oh, and there's a Ram card as well M256E

RAM? Does that mean you can save your own sounds. Liek from a sampler or something, or that you can save patterns and edited sounds?

Can you still buy the cards?

The capacity of the RAM card is 32 KB
So, NO samples which is obvious.
You can however store the complete settings
of your R 8, including the user patterns and songs.
This comes in very handy , in cases where you editted a lot of the basic sounds, and want the factory settings back, or need to reboot due to some kind of failure.

Another option to do this would be SoundDiver software, which allows you to store everything on your pc.

It's now 13 years old and still working allthough it says there's a battery inside.
