Hello everyone,
I am thinking of buying some equipments to make house music. Will Roland Jv2080 and XP60 be able to help me make some basic house music sound ? if not, please feel free to advise me on this matter ... what should i buy first for a beginner ? many thanks !

I have a JV-1080, which is basically the same as a 2080. The standard sounds are good, though I don't know how goo dit is for house music. But it has a great many VERY good lead synths and nice pads. Anyway you'll have to expand it if you want specified sounds for house music (exp. cards).

The 2080 has 3 independent EFXs, the XP60
has 1(not counting chorus or reverb). You can add a Hip Hop, Techno, Bass'N'Drums or Sessions expansion board. Those choices won't be cheap though. Emu may be the way to go. Get to your shoppe and check 'em out.
