Any advice out there on the new EM-2000 from Roland? (arranger style,groove..) I was pretty much impressed by it. How does it compare with the Triton in terms of sound quality, number of tones etc?? Does it have expansion possibilities? My main interest is in high quality tones and a lot of 'em. Can anyone suggest a better keyboard?? The tag on this baby is $3500 (canadian). I do have the E-500 and want another one to bring more richness and qualty. Please help...

Since you are familiar with the E-500, you may be interested in trying out the E-600. I just demo'd one today. It has a touch screen interface, about 500 sounds, excellent styles, and though it just has a floppy drive, Roland has made access of the drive almost instantaneous, so that you can call up a new style (or performance set) very quickly even as you are playing. Quite a few nice features. In this area, the list price is about $4000, though I suspect that I could buy it for closer to $3000. I have an E-96, which has a similar layout to the G800, G1000 and E2000 keyboards. It is a fine keyboard (about 270 voices, but an earlier sound module than your E-500), but the interface is really somewhat complicated. The E-600 is much more intuitive. All depends on what you want.
