DNJ, I think you should know by now that It's NOT the use of SMF files itself that's got me pee'd, but when a performer intentionally FAKES playing the "lead keyboard parts", giving the audience the deceptive impression that they're hearing it played live by the performer, when in reality, supplied by the SMF, not them. Call me a purist, but musical honesty & integrity (not deception) rule in my book.

When I play in arranger mode, I mute all auto accomp piano parts, and most other auto accomp tracks as well, except the rhythm section backbone: drums & bass, + perhaps horn/string section backup. My audience always KNOWS exactly what I'm playing on the kb & what is merely supplied by the auto accompaniment (support role window dressing).

Read this thread for more on this topic, including sound advice from our old friend Uncle Dave.

I've never used one, but yes, exactly the way you said it, BUT, the G70 does that and then some.

and you need a $3400.00 KB when you mute all these parts defeating all the great sounds of the T2 ?...we are black & white when it comes to playing arrangers & always will...end of discussion on this topic for me.

have fun

Donny: Don't know what you paid for your T2, but I paid NOTHING even remotely as much as THAT!

I believe my website SONG DEMOS best demonstrates how I play & showcase the sounds of Tyros2. ALL my demo songs posted were performed on Tyros1 and Tyros2 as follows:

Tyros2 Songs:
Crazy Love
Come Running (to me)
You Don't Know Me
This Could Be The Start Of Something Big
Nine Million Bicycles In Beijing
I Get Along Without You Very Well
Nice And Easy
California Here I Come
Corcovado

Tyros1 Songs:
Things We Said Today
Cattle Call
Ring Of Fire
The Coffee Song

Well Donny with you telling me you have 400 gigs a year on Skype yesterday, I'm sure you'll soon be trading the 3k up for the T2 again what with all the money you must be making
