Hi,

I'm arranging a song, and I want to imitate a bass slide and I couldn't work it out to sound right with the pitch bend. Any suggestions?

P.S. I've got a PSR-S900

Portamento.
Adjust the timing to suit your preference and then apply it to whichever base sound you want to use.
You could then assign Portamento On/Off to a foot pedal to apply it when you needed it.(if that option exists)
That is one way to do it.
Maybe not the best, but certainly one way.

Dennis good ideas.....Try adjusting your pitch bend open to a larger gap to imitate a real slide at excactly the right time while you play......

Look carefully at all the tones.... There may very well be a sampled bass slide in there (there is on Roland's).

First...make sure the bass tone you use is mono....then try portamento!

I don't own a S900, but I was under the impression that such bass slides could be found in the four MegaVoice bass voices (last four under 'Guitar & Bass' category).

Can't one use one of those voices with velocity fix (set to the velocity value the slide is triggered) if such available?

If velocity fix is not available maybe with 'touch sense depth' (set to 0) and 'touch sense offset' (set to the velocity value the slide is triggered).
