Manuel,

Thanks for the styles. The Rock one is perfect for "Evil Ways"....wow!

Beaky,

cjherrmann650@cs.com

Hopefully I can see and play that S900 soon. The 3K is still doing fine for me, although I can imagine in a year or so I'll be ready for a change. If Yammy ever decides to address the drums, there will be no board to compete.

Donny i think he means Yamaha arrangers have poor drums.

after moving to the Motif XS I realized how much more work the arrangers need.

i sincerely hope that Yamaha's new tyros replacement will include the drums from the Motif line. If the Tyros 2 had these drum kits it would be such a better sounding machine.

Donny,

The in-your-face drums of Roland blow me away. I miss that on my Yamaha. Although Yammy has incredible arrangements in their styles, etc, the drums are just not 'live' enough to me. But with everything else the 3K offers, I'm willing to overlook it.

What I was saying is: put the Roland drums in a Yammy board and WOWWWW.......

Oh yeh, throw in the Roland human voices too!

Now on to 3 jobs today

I guess we all have to make choices on our preferences.............I guess with 60 gigs a month you should be able to buy any keyboard you choose & more....enjoy your gigs .....& send me those demos when you get a chance.

Zuki, I agree I'm on my first Roland board and have only had it a few weeks, the drums and the human voices are hard to beat.

It's not that Yamaha arranger drum sets are bad ...they are just to my ear very Cd'ish "COMPRESSED" & too tight vs the
"Live" Nuances of the Ketron & Fullness of the Roland drum sets in the mix.

Agree 100%. Back home from 3 jobs today...the audience doesn't mind the 3K drums

Just got a call toay for a 3 hour gig for their car show (50's). The Cincinnati Symphony follows me What an afternoon that'll be.

Also got a call for a 2 hour sock hop - I guess the 50's runs in bunches.

It would be interesting to obtain the remaining S900 Styles, although they are on the T2 I believe some have been re-voiced.
