Of course, Steve works at Yamaha USA. Yamaha USA is not Yamaha Japan. All of the design work and decisions on what's what happens in Japan. All Steve can do is forward suggestions he deems appropriate to the powers that be in .jp
These guys are not dummies. If they hear of some great idea they will use it (presuming it is cost effective and implementable).
As I mentioned in my previous email, making a logarithmic (first movements yield small changes, further movements yield incrementally larger changes) assignment of TEMPO to an existing wheel (pitch or modulation) or pedal input (e.g., FC-7) by an Operating System command seems very worthwhile, cost effective, and easy to implement. This could be done with a future PSR-9000/pro and Tyros OS update, for starters....
