I recently did this recording in my home studio with the T2. A girl I know composed the song and asked me to record it for her. I thought I'd share it and get some feedback!

Nice stuff Chony, the singer sounds a little bit like the woman from the Cranberries who seem to have vanished these days.

Cbony,

Great Stuff! I presume you used the T2 vocalizer on that song? The vocals sounds clear, clean, and the harmonies were great.

This is the kind of stuff arranger keyboards were born. Composing, recording, and prototyping. The song as it is is Just great! I like how you executed the drum fills and breaks.

Some things I would do with this song to make it more current and more "tasty", is to make it a little grittier. I would substitute the drums with a Hip Hop kit, punch up the bass, mute some of those style tracks (guitars), and overdub some nice legato heavy guitar strokes instead. Also, I would move the guitar solo from the end of the song to the middle to give the song vocals time to breathe. But hey, this is just what I would do. The song is great just the way it is!

Great Job!

Chony: Great tune, refreshing sound, and terrfic balance & recording clarity. I concur with Craig that vocals sound remiscent of the Cranberries. Only AFTER having read Al's comments, I have to agree with his good suggestions in turning this winnng song into an exceptional one. Chony, looking forward to hearing more terrific music from you. Btw: what Tyros2 style was used?

Scott

Thank you everybody!

I used the "ContepRock" style on the T2.
Recorded using Cubase SX 3, with PowerCore VST effects, and Melodyne Studio for pitch correction.
The harmonies were done manually - not with a vocalizer.

Thank you for your suggestions! I'm not going to change anything though because its coming out of my ears already!

Thanks, Chony
