...when hell freezes over????

Sorry, Nigel, but censorship is an almost impossible quest when it comes to forums.
And if a blanket withdrawal of the editing facility is imposed, you criminalize ALL of us.
Just my 2 cents.
cheers

Removal of editing is not criminalizing anyone. It was simply a privelege I had provided that I have now had to withdraw. It doesn't limit anyones ability to post what they want. They simply can't withdraw something that they willingly posted. It may make people think a little more carefully about what they do post.

And hey I really didn't want to have to turn editing off. I have been left no choice. If it hadn't been abused I wouldn't have to. Certain people misused it knowing that I would do this in response. Eddie I can understand that you feel it's not fair and I agree with you 100%. It isn't fair that the actions of a few affect all of us on the forum. But it is the misuse of editing that isn't fair not that I was forced to respond by disabling it. I don't have any better option?

I was always in favor of the backspace key instead of Delete or Edit buttons. The old saying "Look before you leap" really rings true when you hit the SUBMIT REPLY button.

Thanks Nigel,

This post has not been edited.
None of my posts have EVER been edited.
I was moderator of the Technics Forum for two or three years and the only posts of mine there that were edited were done by Nigel and I agree that he was always right,
just as he is in this instance.
Grow up everybody, you are adults now.
Nigel has to do what he is forced to do to keep piece amongst you
