I have a question about the vocal processor in the PA1X. Is it correct that it can change the characteristics of the voice so you can sound old and young, etc?

Yes you can tweak your own voice.
Lower,like Barry White or rougher like Louis Amstrong or higher like a soprano.
You can also use Vocal Harmony (VH) with this you can sing as a choir with 4 extra voices.
As an option you can buy Voice Modeling and Pitch Correction,to understand what it is listen to the demo on www.korgpa.com

Have you got a PA1X yourself? I am choocing between the G-70 and the PA1X haven't been able to try the G-70 yet. I have tried the PA1X for a few days, and I really liked it's sounds!

Yes I have the PA1xpro with Logitech Z-2200
for home use only, and I love it.
I never played the G-70 but I am a Roland fan so I think I like it.
But as with the PA1x I think the G-70 will be better after a few updates.
Korg just released OS 2.01 and they promised
new styles soon.
I can't wait to hear them.

The guitars in the PA1X is really good from my opinion! Do you know if the new styles will be free like an upgrade?
How are the real drums compared to the original drums used in styles?

I don't think it will be a style update, but extra styles which can be loaded in the empty places.
Yes the guitars sounds are great,but I like all the sounds in the PA1x.
The Drum sounds are terrific too.
I think you stand for a difficult choice...PA1x or G-70.
But I think both boards are great.
