I need to replace my dr660 battery. Is this
something I can do myself? I'm afraid to open
it up without knowing. if so, what kind of battery? thanks,

The battery type is CR2032 lithium battery or equivalent (the same used on several PC motherboards).
The replacement is easy, just take care when disassembling the machine.
The battery is located near the volume and data knobs.
