I got a new keyboard in my store today which i would like to report to you about.
Roland's FP5 is a new version of the FP3. There are built in speakers, 200 sounds, a VK physical modeled organ with programmable drawbars, much better and more effects then the FP3, much better styles to play with the split mode like an arranger, and now you can program your own chord progressions which the FP3 could not do. This new model has a list price of $1695.00 and is a big improvement over the FP3.

I have played the FP-3 and thought it was very weak both in sound and in the weighted feel of the keyboard. I am pleased to hear they have improved the organ sound on the FP-5. Have they improved the feel of the keyboard at all ??? The FP-3 seemed much inferior to similar products from Korg, Yamaha and Kurzweil.

I agree with Nigel. There's an FP-3 in a bar, in town, where I sometimes meet other musicians - that I jam with - and I was surprised with the weak ratio sound/action to size/weight. I prefer my light Kurzweil. Hope the FP-5 brings significant improvements.
