At the moment I live here in England,but I may have to relocate to Canada,I have a Psr3000,a Yamaha P80 digital stage piano both have power adaptors,but I also have my Roland Hp107 digital piano which plugs straight into the 240v mains.
Would I be able to take all 3 with me without having to sell and use them in Canada.
Ive got the feeling that I will be able to just change the adaptors for the Psr3000 and the P80,but the Roland I will probably have to sell,am I right.

Can't help with info about the roland hp107,and the conversion, but here's a thought.

It appears that keyboards sell for more money overseas than they do here, shipping is also very costly and a chance of breakage. You possibly could buy new ones here and not spend any more money, and even update if wanted.

A new 3000 is a bit less than $1,500.00.(1,000 pounds) Tyros 1 $1995.00 (1,500 pounds)this is for brand new at Musician's friends stores. Could'nt find a p80 new price but a new p90 88 hammer key is $999.00 (about 750 pounds).
Just save all your files on a memory stick!

You may be able to just replace the internal power supply on the piano as well. Though, as pose pointed out, by the time you ship something as heavy as the piano and then get a new power supply it may just be easier to sell it and buy another at the other end.

Sorry, this may sound obvious but have you checked the adaptors for the voltage and frequency ?

Most adaptors have dual voltages and frequency so you may not need anything.

For your big, heavy item - ocean freight should be considered. They might cost US$500 at minimum from my experience but much cheaper than airfreight for heavy/bulky items above 100 lbs.

All I can tell you is that all of my music equipment worked when I moved from the states to England, with adaptors. I don't know what power Canada uses though.

I bought an SKB hard case for my 61-key synth which I checked onto to the plane as a piece of luggage. The stuff I shipped - mixer, rack synth, cables, etc cost a bloody fortune too.

Canada uses the same power requirements as the U.S.
The price of Instruments in Canada is higher then in the U.S. (even accounting for the exchange rate)
