i don't succeed to install this new OS version into my JP. I always get other values for 'checksum' so i have to exit and start over. The result of this all is that i have a blanco memory and all button functions are disabled. The only thing i can do is the start-up like you have to do for loading the OS, which is= [waveformLFO1] + [waveformOSC1] + [syncOSC2] + [waveformOSC2]
is there something i forgot ?
Thank you

You might want to search for version 1.5. Actually, I have had less luck than you installing an upgrade. However, you can bring the JP back to life by initializing it in the "factory" mode. You lose all your unsaved patches, but it will work.

Then follow the upgrade instructions covering initializing the ribbon and pitch bender.

Email if you have more trouble.

Thanx for your answer, SL8. I typed the versionnumber wrong, seemly like you...lol
If i have looked well then it should be version 1.05
But i'm affraid i'm not outta problems yet.
I wish i could reinstall my factory presets. All buttons aren't working anymore, so i can't call up factory presets. The only thing that works is that combination of buttons you have to press on for calling up the updater.
which is= waveform1LFO1 + waveformOSC1 + syncOSC2 + waveformOSC2
Next thing it asks (and so i only can reply on) is this = 'erase your data! sure ? [y/n]'
So, when i press on 'y' i send the first file
And when i did that i always get 1842 as checksum, instead of 49F8. I have send it with Cakewalk version 5.0 professional. I sent it first like a midi file, afterwards i tried the sysex section. It all gives me 1842.
I ignored it after many times of trying to see what result that would give. So, i send the 8 files to the JP. I turned off the JP and switched it back on by pressing
[-12,-24dbFILTER] + [typeFILTER] + [syncOSC2]
but it didn't respond. I am affraid i will have to carry my device back to my roland dealer. What is your idea about this ?
