Ok Scott, this one should be rough enough for you... Really love the concert guitar.. Listen to the break, everyone thinks it real!
Vocals are more raw on this one..
Let me know
Song is "now" http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=313920&content=music

Thanks.

That was nice. The whole thing had good sonic quality and good mix. I think while the guitars sounded real, I'm thinking you could have increased the volume a bit for that. But otherwise the whole thing sounds pretty much like a live band. And who says Yamaha doesn't have strong drums. Sounded fine to me. Course I'm not really into thump, thump, thump, so maybe that's the dif.

Keep 'em comin'

If that doesnt make more people want to jumpt the fence and get an S900, then I don't know what would work.

Scott

Great guitar sounds , you did that on an S900 , gezzzz.

A great song too , and why are you not touring yet !!

Forget about weekend gigs , find a manager or something , get your songs out there , really.

You have talent !

Have you tried :

Nice one again, beachbum...

Drums are definitely crisper this time (on the right, slightly softer material like this, they are perfect), but I have to agree that I would have liked to hear the rhythm guitars a bit more.

Do you record the backing to MIDI first, or just go straight to MP3? There were a couple of moments in the guitar solo that felt like you were fighting the 'hammer-on' samples, and recording to the MIDI sequencer first, BEFORE you commit to audio might allow you to go in and lower the velocity of any notes that triggered it that you DIDN'T want it on (and add it where you do!). A little audio compression on that track only can also help the hammer-ons not 'jump out' quite so much.

I must confess, I'm not a big fan of vel-triggered slides... I would MUCH prefer it if you could have a footswitch enable it.

But another nice song, feels a bit Al Stewart-ish.... Kudos, beachbum!

Nice song and great performance. What style did you use? One take?. I liked the guitar and drums sound on this song. The bass was nice too.
I just picked up my 3rd S900 and finally everything is working perfect this time.

Thank you.

Falberto

Hey Scott thanks for giving it a spin... The thing I like about the board is you can be blocked and fiddle with diffrent styles the, Wham, Something comes up...

jedi - Yep, everything on this one was s900, ran the vocals even through the board using a shure 58.. Love to get on the road, however, one must know when something is a hobbie... Thanks for the thumbs up!

Thanks Gary!

Diki - Very valid points... These songs take about a month to 3 months to crank out.. First starts as an idea verse chorus and what not.. I've learned not to rush'em because the may start a cetain way and end totoally diffrent.. You given me something to think about.. Thanks for the listen!

Falberto - I used one of the guitar styles, not sure which one, look for the one at 147 bpm in (rock or pop).. That will be the one... Good luck with the 900, now go make some tunes up!

Thanks everyone..
