I installed an SC-88PRO about 3 weeks ago. It
replaced an SC-55. The sound quality of the patches was noticable immediately. Big change!! A few nights ago it started to sound
as though the sound was coming from behind a closed door. All patches etc. work but the sound quality is "muddied" compared to what it was before. Any ideas of something that would cause this? Thanks in advance for any
help. Milt Miermaster

Hi Milt .
I have just bought a second hand SC-88Pro.
I also find the sounds "muddied" , except if I select the SC-55 mode where it sounds like my SCP-55 PCMCIA Roland card.
Did you find a fix ?
Maybe the output amplifier got damaged by ESD pluses and the sound bandwidth got limited.
I'll look soon inside the box !
Regards
Chris.

I think you have to reset it by hand. I don't remember how you do it on the 88pro, but you can read about it in your manual.
If you push the right buttoms, the display should say "Initsialize all?". Then you answer yes or enter and your problem is over, I think.
