Anyone care to tell me something about these two arrangers. I know the RA-95 came out after the RA-90 but how much different is the 95 from the 90.

Bill, the 95 has a smaller footprint, and reads SMF's from a disk drive[floppy]..It also can read styles from the floppy..The RA90 used cards for additional styles , and a Super card[15 cards in one]..The RA95 is more practical..
The RA90 has neat controls over the drums[parameters for different sounds]...Over all I would go with the RA95 ..considering your two choices..

Thanks Fran: What I am trying to do is give my EL-70 Electone Organ a boast if you know what I mean. I have a Yamaha QY-100 that I midi up to the organ with and play some of the more up tp date styles using the solo tone of the organ. I would like to use some of the solo tones on the Qy 100 but for some reason I can't get them to sound. I am sure its a midi thing that I am just not very good at. At one time or anothe I had a Roland RA90 but never a 95. I also had a RA-80 that I would like to have again but they are now where to be found. How about an RA 30 ?? Is it's sounds and styles the same a on the RA 95 ??

Lots of questions but I know some one out there has the answers.

The RA800 is the best of the group..64 voice polyphony, lyric reads , Sequencer and chord sequencer...The RA30 is a small compact unit..same 24 voice polyphony as the RA95[same engine, and same styles]..but you can not add other styles that you can with the 95..
If you don't need the extra styles or want to play sequences..the RA30 is a nice size for add on to your Yamaha organ..

I run across RA800 once in a while..they still bring $500..RA30's can be found under $100..RA90 and 95 under $200..

I really don't need styles other than what is standard on either module so maybe the RA 30 might be a good choice. I see on E bay an RA 30 RA 90 and RA 95. I do hoewver like the flexiblity of having a Disk Drive so having said that the choice of the three would be the RA 95. Thank you very much Fran for sharing your knowledge.
