It's real easy... The Audya has not been released yet. These are recordings controlled by the manufacturer (presumably, they are in control of their own advance publicity and trade demos). As such, it behooves them, if they ARE interested in creating good advance buzz about their forthcoming products, to show them in the best light possible. The failure to even CARE what these clips sound like (uniformly horrible) is a failure to care what potential customers think about their new product. Guess what that makes me think about their general care for any of our concerns...
And, tout tech specs all you want... a cheap Yamaha, recorded well, can blow away any crappy demo recorded by a consumer camcorder's built in mike of any 24 bit 96 kHz keyboard out there. You don't sell records by sticking a crappy mike up at a gig and go 'hey, here's what the new Killers record sounds like'... You record them as well as you can, and deliver the content in as high a quality as you can afford. Any less, and the consumer has every right to assume that is what it REALLY sounds like... cheap, tinny and boxy. Why should he assume any better, if the manufacturer themselves can't somehow make it sound any good?
You will NEVER hear as crappy a demo on any of the Big 3's websites. What do you think MAKES them so successful? It certainly isn't from a total lack of care what their product SOUNDS like to the average customer, and a customer, at that, who is in an almost impossible situation to actually TRY one out.
The smaller your marketing base (and Ketron's and MS's and Wersi's are almost impossible to try out in the USA), the MORE important it is that every demo (at least the manufacturer controlled events, like here) are of the highest quality.
Tech specs don't tell the whole tale. A 24/96 crappy sample set, or style, doesn't sound ANY better than a 16/44 crappy sample set or style. And a company that doesn't care enough about their potential customers to spend enough money to video it properly is quite possibly trying to disguise these issues...
Or they just don't care. So why should we?
