Hello , I have had many SH-101s and I would NOT pay anymore than 200 dollars for one . The thing is a lot of people are trying to get 400 - 500 dollars for them and they only retailed for 495.00 new in 1983 . They are not unique enough to go up in value . Roland actually made a lot of synths with this basic single oscillator design , like the SH-09 and the SH-1 or even the JUNO-6 which is polyphonic . A lot of people are using that sound in techno so they create a buying frenzy and prices get ridiculous . Even an older SH-1000 has a real unique sound . call RICHARD at NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS MUSIC , 404-351-4422 . But remember , don't pay too much because alot of synths can make that sound .
