Just found an excellent demo of one of my favourite technics instruments. This instrument had mega e technology even back then. Listen to the strummed guitars in the styles

Hi Spalding
If you have the time to search through You Tube its amazing what you find, (A bit like a keyboards OS) however I must admit that while I am reasonably familiar with Kawai Organs, Pianos and Synths (The synths were renamed Tiesco in the 80s) the arranger board is certainly a surprise.
Great Find

Bill

Technics were a company to be reckoned with, to be sure...one wonders what they'd be making today if they hadn't gone under.

Such a shame.

Funny Tony after my Kn5000 which at the time was a super KB I really enjoyed it for a long while.....I think I bought it from Don mason many years ago.... I bought a Kn6000.... and promptly Returned it to the store the next day....! Just couldn't deal with the OS and sound/styles for me... Bought a PSR9000 instead which worked out nice for a bit....
We all do it different.....that's why so many of these discussions don't mean much in reality because its such a PERSONAL thing to play any instrument. You can talk all you want, help each other here & there but in the end ONLY YOU CAN PLAY IT....& LIKE IT.

Enjoy.

Merry Xmas

Panasonic still makes smaller arrangers for the Euro and Asian markets, but no Technics.

I really think that is a shame. A local retailer cannot find a suitable replacement to carry in his store. It seems his customer base loved the simplicity of the Technics OS along with their sounds. Technics could still compete today, if they wanted to. You wonder why a company as large and diverse as Panasonic decided to dump such a great product.
