Hey all

I'm considering a Roland, I just can't decide between the GW-7 or the E09

I'm looking for something people in the whole damily can use, first time players, and both seem really easy to use and at such good prices, do all the sounds sound the same on any Roland Keyboard and which would offer better value for money.

The GW-7 looks nicer, and it seemss lighter though it's what comes out of it that is important thing.

Big difference is that the E-09 has speakers...that may or may not be important to you.

The E9 would be a better choice for you described needs vs the GW7 which is more geared for more contemporary stylings vs a full assortment for the family.....down the road you can upgrade to a more advanced model.....like the E50/60 or G70

The GW-7 is a step up from the E09 as far as features and sound. But the E09 does have speakers. Maybe look at the EXR series if you want to stay with Roland and have speakers. An EXR7s might be a nice option for you.
