Hi Ron
thanks for the compliments.
Seem that you have understand the Qranger concept and if you are able to use one standard timeline SEQ, under Qranger you have the totally freedom to compose any type of styles.
Can be only by Midi,Audio or Midi+Audio.
You can also configure it to play like a Groove Box Loops Pattern system or just for a regular midi Styles.
In this week we will integrate the EMC Style work module script and then we are able to import any type of brand styles into the qranger.
For sure you know well the EMC style converter, just import there one styles without convert to the destination format.
After the style is loaded, select the EXPORT to Sequencer module and export the whole style under ONE Midifile mode, with the all parts ( 24 tracks, Maj, Min, 7th) and save this midifile where you like.
Copy this all exported midifiles in to the MS Hard disk.
Open the Qranger editor with a empty template session.
File: Import Midifile: select one of this exported style and press enter.
The Qranger script will automatically loading the all 24 tracks and will move the all tracks under the relative Chords Tab.
the script will also automatically setting the all markerpoints available on the style loaded.
after imported the style ( about 2 second time) press Play and all the tracks/patterns are ready!
look here the example:
http://www.lionstracs.com/store/images/qrangerpic/qranger%209.jpg now about your question..
after one standar midi style is loaded, you can also start to add new audio tracks ( unlimited of course) for each patterns and chords Tab.
if some midi drums you dont like, just delete it and drag inside the audio files, the realtime timescretching will also adapt the all clips parts in the right timeline BPM.
save the Session with a new name, then start again to editing a new version ( always with the same syle) and create more version that you like.
When you return back the the MS interface, select the style, ( the style here is the Folder name) where then you can select for default mode the session version that you like much better for this type of style and press Play. In this way you can have a lot of different style version to recall in realtime.
The final result you can see on the video demo too.
so...with the match with EMC style works, you can loading TON of different styles, ready to play after some seconds.
of course then the work is to replce the original program change found to the another desidered sounds and make the final mixdown.
The mixer interface is really easy with the possibility to load ton of pluging for EACH desidered tracks!
One Note: you have to choose HOW to editing one styles for wich use you will have it.
One normally midi style can be loaded and ready to play in less 1 second, BUT if you start to insert BIG GIGA files, 10-20 effects, VST and so on...you have to understand that also need the time to preload this all data before you can hear the all track. Untill you will use audio tracks is not a problems, because we make HD Streaming, but Plugins, VST and big GIGA need some time, depend of the size of the data used.
Anyway, I think too that this qranger tool will Open a lot of new styles view, with no limits, depend only on your compose fantasy.
If you also saw the composer video demo, you can make new styles without record nothing on the keyboard, just Drag&drop audio-midi files or single zone of the desidered file.
More freedom and easy like this....
cheers
