Does anyone have a keyboard 'flight case' that I might be able to rent (or borrow) for a wedding I will be playing in NC in May ... As at my age I do not see myself playing many (any?!?) other gigs where I would need one, I do not feel the need to purchase one ... My e-mail add is in my 'profile' ... thnx mch ... t.

Tony,
When I attended the last Jam in Shreveport I took along my SD-1. I kept it in the padded gig bag and boxed it up and checked it in as luggage. It made the trip unharmed. The airline I used had a 50 pound weight limit on checked luggage and allowed two items. The SD-1 checked in at 49 pounds. I used the other bag for my clothing and stuff.

Tom ... thnx for the tip ... I THINK I could package it well enough if I had to, but the thought of not having a hard case still makes me VERY nervous... t.
There once was this guy who said lots Who frequently stirred up some pots He’d say stuff that was bad And then after the folks would get mad, He’d go back and change his words to ‘dots’
Just because ONE guy used a soft bag and got away with it doesn't mean that many others did the same thing and didn't get a busted keyboard out of it...
You wouldn't ship it UPS in a soft bag, would you...? Same story on a plane.
Talk to a local PA rental place. They may have an ATA case that would work.
