I am just getting started with the synth stuff, but what I am trying to do is mix some digital audio and vocals with midi accompaniment for Broadway scores. I use cakewalk, have a wami box, and a Mackie 1202z. I am looking at the SC 88 pro and the JV 1010 with the orchestra expansion board. Is the sound of one that much better than the other? How easy is one to use over the other?

Like I said, I am a real neophyte, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Geoffrey

The question you ask can only be answered by yourself because it's just a matter of taste. I own a jv-1010 and a arranger keyboard G800 (which embodies a soundcanvas).

I like the combination of them. Both sound good but you have to check out yourself.

Greetings,

Wilbert.

was reading your post asking the differences between the scpro & jv1010 ... I have a
sc88pro and its great I am also familiar with the jv-1010 and its great also one of the
major differences is the screen .. the 1010 is numeric (yuk) and the sc is not (actual
printed titles & numbers) another Major difference is the scpro is gs compatable meaning
you can change the effect setiing for each track with most software. If you would like to
know more let me know I'm real familiar with the Sc88pro (I have 2) I am selling one of
mine (my studio one) cause I no longer need two Its brand new and has the Gs editor on
cd and the manual & original box... I am selling for $450.00 if you might be interested ..
Thanks
