I have owned this keyboard since day one and in the last several years, it has spent a lot of time in the repair shop. Right now, about 35% of the patches do not work. There is no apparent pattern for which patches will work or won't work. Many times if I select a patch thats doesn't work, and try to play a note, I will have to shut off the board in order to change out of the bad patch. Any one else have this problem or know whay may be causing it. I hate the idea of paying for my repairmans BMW!

Did you try replacing the battery?

Have you tried reinitializing the patches. If you send the original factory patches to the D-10 it may well fix the problem.

If you have had a series of problems with the keyboard there is a good chance that some of the patches have been corrupted in memory. And if you have never replaced the internal battery then replacing that is a good suggestion. Once the battery starts running flat then patches will fail.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try replacing the battery and see if that corrects the problem. It appears that it is one bank of the Timbres that is affected. When you attempt to edit the patch, instead of seeing the timbre name, I am seeing *&%^*& or similar garbage. I'll pick one up this week and post the results. Thanks again!
