Hi fellow keyboard players!
I have had my Tyros 1 for about four years and I am experiencing a problem that I would like suggestions or opinions on.

The problem:
I am unable to hear certain right hand voices through the on board speakers. The piano sounds come through but my breathy tenor saxaphone, for example, is very hard to hear. I run my Tyros through a Peavey Escort system and the sound comes through very well, including the right hand sounds. It is just through my on board monitors where my problem is. I even have to have my keyboard volume to the max to hear the sounds. Left hand comes through fine but you can imagine how difficult it is to play and not be able to hear your right hand melody.
Has anyone had this problem or would you have any ideas or suggestions on what you might think the problem could be?
I hope its just the onboard speakers and I can order new ones; It would be horrible if it was an internal problem!

CandyLuv, Are we talking about external speakers, since the Tyros does not have built in[internal] speakers.

Your explanation sounds like the woofer speaker is blown..

First, do a system reset by holding down the rightmost white key while turning on the keyboard. This may solve your problem, particularly if you have assigned the speakers in the wrong area.

Additionally, check your PA. It could be that you have it panned to the left side of the keyboard.

Hope this helps,

Gary

I'm just guessing, but it seems you may have a cable problem...perhaps one of the cables concerning the on-board speakers/monitors is defective or is not making proper contact...it is unlikely that the problem would be internal i.e. in the Tyros itself, so I doubt if a system reset will solve the problem.

Have the monitor/on-board speaker cables checked before you do anything else...your speakers are probably okay.
