I've had very little time to demo the E-60, but what I've tried and seen I like very much. It is much simpler to operate than the g70. There are less styles, but the smart cards can hold infinite amount of styles and songs. There is no harmonizer, which is the only bummer about the E-60. The key feel is good, better than the Yamahas I've owned, but certainly not equal to the g70.

It is a pleasure to play. The styles are so symathetic to live playing and they sound so good. The speaker volume could be louder, but it is adequate for a small room. Except for a possible upgrade in this model, I don't think I'll be looking at/for anything else for some time.

Roland needs to promote the E's better. they are good keyboards but suffer from lack of exposure.

Hi All, (especially DNJ)
I do not post too often here, but I remember posting the experience I had with 2 early defective S-900's. Then I decided to wait for sometime because I really liked the S-900's and I knew it was just a few bad early units. Then I started reading DNJs postings about the new, wonderful blue marvel, almost perfect, Korg PA800- and almost just based on his (your) excitment, I decided to order one. Well, today I really have to thank you DNJ. This is the BEST keybord I have ever owned (and I still have my SD1, which has been my best for years, only technology has advanced too much since the SD1 came out). Now, I just can't see myself or anybody else selling the PA800 to buy an S-900 alone. Believe me I still like the S-900 very much and it is one of the best out there, especially for the price. Actually I would love-and probably will in the future-get another one to have both. But selling my PA800?..only to buy a PA2Xpro and waiting to check the Audya I really do not understand. Now I have to say that I only play in church, and church related parties (weddings, sweet 15s, 16s, etc)and mainly latin music, frequently with a guitar/singer who really can work and perfectly coupe with my arranger music.
KEEP PLAYING AND ENJOYING YOUR ARRANGER WHATEVER THAT IS. In reality they are all great instruments, and I believe we only use a fraction of their potential.
Thank you,
Falberto.

The organs sound very good. None are sent through the rotor FX, so they need to be set up and saved if you want to use the Leslie sim. I could easily use the E-60 as my one board if I wasn't so anal about that darn XK-1. Both boards are keepers. All of the E-60 sounds are top drawer. The more I play it, the more I convince myself that I'll always need a 76/88 board of some type. As I said on another thread, I've bought & sold about 7-8 keyboards in the last year. The E-60 is definitely the best arranger for me (not the biggest, just the best). I won't be looking at/for anything else unless somebody comes out with a 76 with a good harmonizer.

The Hammond is not just a home piece. When and where possible i hope to use bothe keyboards, but the E-60 is definitely good enough to handle my needs all by itself. Those organ sounds are very authentic and convincing. As I said, the Hammond is a vanity thing; it's something I just had to get at this time in my life. But believe me, the E-60 is an overlooked gem in the arranger market. Those 76 keys make a big difference for anyone who likes to play piano or use deep left hand bass. In arranger mode I can even give myself a little more or less right hand space as need - a nice convenience. I'm no pianist, but not a bad piano player. The 76 keys are good enough for me 99.99% of the time.

Cassp,
I just sent you the URL for a post George Kaye made for tweeking the onboard sound system in my E 80. It should work for you also if your E 60 is the same.
Check your gmail for my email.

Thanks for the url, Bill. I printed it out and will give the speaker edits a try. And George, of course, is so great with all his helpful knowledge.

Hey, George. JimP says HI. This was his E-60 I purchased.

Cass the E-60 doesn't have the same settings as the E-80..You only have the bass enhancer on the E-60..

New Gear ah....not really...Found a couple of months ago a used good working Fender SFX200 which is doing an excellent job on the smaller gigs. (perfect match for a VR760)
Also found a used Twin and boy I'm really very happy to be back on a Twin again since years....Oh and I found a used Fishman Aura, which(although originally not meant to use it that way) turns any cheap acoustic in a Martin.
