I bought the SKB KB76 bag for my new Pa2X. It's a snug fit, looks great and seeems very well made. Quite light too.

Field tested it yesterday and today and it passed with flying colors. Definitely gets my recommendation.

Graham,

Thanks for the link. I've got a couple cases here at home and haven't tried to see how they are going to fit the Korg yet.

I wanted just a well padded gig bag for my 76 key e60. I bought a RoadRunner bag from GC. I got a great price on it, but I'm taking it back because it's too big and floppy. I guess I want something with a little more padding and shape to it (=weight too ). They had a Kaces bag with wheels; not quite as shaped as my Gator, but lighter. Wonder if I should try that one or just use my 25 lb Gator bag for my 25 lb keyboard.

Those roadrunner cases are garbage...
very low-end GC line stuff....like carrying your KB in a bathroom towel.
They make it look good in the picture stuffing it with paper.....

but I would never recomend it to anyone. Dont skimp on a case get the best to protect your keyboard.

Nothing ever beats a good fligt type hard case, though, and I found a great company on the net that will custom make a case for your specs. They made a custom flight case for my PA1xPro and it fit like a glove, had a decent turnaround time and I've been very happy wit them.

check'em out. They might have soft cases, idk.

You stick a $3500 keyboard in a crappy bag, soon you got a $3500 doorstop. Unless you plan on changing arrangers every two months, I recommend a hard case. Get a dolly. Stop whining.

Or start whining about how banged up your new arranger has got...

Sooner or later, something WILL happen to it. An enthusiastic waiter will put a speaker on top of it. It will tip over while you open a door. It will rain while you go inside for a pee. A drunk will fall on it. Dogs and cats, living together, mass hysteria...

Look at the available cases, then picture them dealing with the above. Then picture your new arranger. In pieces.

'Nuff said...

I agree, I would never put a keyboard in a bag,
That's why I use a body glove CASE, it's not a flight case or can be dropped out of a plane, but it uses padding against a reinforced plywood type material, similar to a road case.
