My aging FP-1 has a bunch of cracked broken keys and hammers that I'll be replacing with new ones I've ordered from Roland.

What about that gray lube? (I hear it's a 'light lithium grease') I tried to order some from Roland, but it's like $40/tablespoon and they're not sure they can sell it because it's intended for tech centers. The Roland guy suggested scraping the grease off the old keys, but I have my doubts.

Is there a compatible corner-hardware store susbtitute anyone has used?
