I have an old Echo Indigo in my laptop for SMF playback. It is quite good, but wondered if any of you have anything better. I have many alternate means of recording, so playback quality without clunky interfaces and modules is my goal. Bernie

Donny That is one of the alternate recording devices I was talking about. I am speaking of playback only. Thanks for the reply Bernie

Maybe I'm missing your point, but,I have to have the best sound card or module for midi playback. I guess I don't see where recording a mediocre source in MP3 format will help me. My Echo card is good, but if there is better at a reasonable cost, I would like to know about it.
