I'm thinking of buying a VS-1880HD recorder, but I have concerns over its ability to only record 8 tracks at a time. I run my keyboards off of a sequencer, a Yamaha Rm1x, and I have a total of 12 outputs coming fom my keyboards. Does anyone know anything about the VS1880's ability to midi sync tracks with my sequencer? Thanks - Merriphew

I just recived mine in the mail thursday, haven't done much beyond transfer ancient 4-track casettes so far.

The 1880 only has 8 inputs, 2 Low-Z XLR and six line-level 1/4" inputs, with an additional Hi-Z input for electric guitars and such.
As for external sync, it has a Midi in, and an out/thru, also handles MMC and MTC.

So far I'm not kicking myself for buying it...
