I have a Roland G-1000 and just recently purchased a Yamaha DX 27. I want to use the DX 27 to run the sounds from the G-1000, but also have a different sound on the G-1000. I have the MIDI cable on the DX27 plugged into the MIDI out and have the other end plugged into the MIDI in on the A side of the MIDI connections of the G-1000. I have been able to get the sounds to come up to the DX27, but everytime I change from A1 in the MIDI channel section on the G-1000 the DX27 no longer receives the sound from the G-1000. I read and read and read the book on the G-1000, but no luck there. I have been to the Roland web site, but can find no e-mail address to get help from them. I even went to the music store where I purchased the G-1000 but no one seemed to know anything about how it worked. Does anyone out there know anything about the way the G-1000 handles receiving MIDI? HELP!!!!
