You can use Calkwalk for receiving, saving and sending system exclusive (*.syx), and this software already have database for your keyboard factory patch/sound via SB Midi cables.

There's a shareware editor for D-50 at http://huizen.dds.nl/~d50/ and sysex loaders at http://www3.bc.sympatico.ca/epsilon/Synth_D50_550.htm There have been others too. I have seen a freeware patch editor(made in Sweden), but I can't find it just now.
