I rescently got an old RAP 10 soundcard from a friend of mine. I can't make it work properly. Does anybody out there know where to find some information about installing this card under Windows 98 SE. I'm also looking for drivers in order to use the card with Cubase 3.5(PC).
Can't find a way to contact Roland so any help would be appreciated.
Groovy Greetings; Jesper, NL.

Do you get the installation disks? Then try to install them. If you don't, you can get the instalation disks from Roland web site : http://www.rolandus.com/SUPPORT/SOFTWARE/UPDATES2.HTM. Download the Roland Audio Tools 3.7, both Disk 1 and Disk 2 (read the instructions).
I'm sorry to say that the driver is for Windows 3.1x, but it works with Windows 9x. There's no Cubase ASIO driver, as far as I know, so it won't work with Cubase VST. But the MIDI work just fine. I also get the driver V2.2 somewhere in Roland site, it seems disappear. Try to find it, maybe you get better driver.
If you don't want to use the audio section of the card, use the MPU-401 driver that came standard with Windows, it will work with this card.
Also there are some utilities for this card.
like GS Panel (http://lysator.liu.se/~korsvall/gspanel/)
You could also try this RAP-10 Control Panel. It was intended for Windows 3.1 but work under Win9x (ftp://synthzone.com/pub/midi/roland/raptenfx.zip)
Also check Jeff Blatt's RAP-10 panels for Windows.(http://www.borg.com/~jglatt/progs/software.htm)

There a few links for the RAP-10 listed on Synth Zone's Roland Page that provide info on the dipswitch settings plus other issues.
