Just ran across these which I think may be new from Yamaha. May be of interest to some members. The Stagepas 250M & 150M. Here is the link: http://www.yamahaproaudio.com/products/pa_systems/stagepas250m/index.html

Also another one, new to me anyhow, the MSR250: http://www.yamahaproaudio.com/products/speakers/msr250/index.html
Looks interesting.......Gary

Looks like mono versions of the StagePas 300 and StagePas 500 (similar mixer, one amplifier channel and speaker instead of two). I love my StagePas 500, so these mono ones ought to be good for anyone looking for similar features as the 300 or 500, but only wanting one speaker and mono sound. . .

Looks like these versions of the Stagepas do have stereo inputs for the instrument channels, and a stereo link output for connection to an optional MSR250 (although a person could probably substitute any powered speaker of their choosing). I friend of mine owns the Stagepas 500. I got to play piano through it on a few outdoor gigs last summer. Loved it! Gary

The StagePas systems seem to be nothing more than the 300 or 500 minus a speaker. Why not buy the stereo system and leave a speaker at home when it's not needed? I guess there must be enough buyers out there who only need one speaker. The price must be super- enticing. Not my cup of tea...

It looks like the MSR250 will be entering the competitve market for 10" powered speakers that include the Eon10, Mackie SRM-350, FBT Maxx 2A, RCF Art 310 A and others.

This Yamaha has the same power output and frequency response as my FBT Maxx 2a 50hz - 20,000khz, but it weighs 3 lbs more. It's probably less expensive though.
