#23479 - 12/07/00 11:36 AM RD600 Piano Sound in Lightweight Stage Piano?

I have listened to a lot of different piano sounds, and like the main one in the RD600 a lot. Unfortunately, the keyboard itself is too heavy to comfortably haul around and set up. I wrote Roland and asked if they had any plans to incorporate this sound into a lightweight stage piano or module, and they never replied. Does anyone out there know if this is on the horizon, or has actually happened?

I love the sound in the JV1010 session board, and you can get that for under $400 US. Give a listen to the Yamaha P80 - weighs in at about 35lbs or so, and has great piano action. Forhet that RD600 - it's a bear to tote around and the buzz on the street is:
It's not long for the world. Wait till the NAMM show in January - see what springs up.
