Hi!

I was wondering if anybody could help me with a problem that I'm having on my TR-505 drum machine. When I've got my 505 connected to my PC via a midi interface, I can get it recorded when I tap in my own sounds (ie. play the drum machine in a real-time fashion.), but I cannot seem to get it to play a pre-programmed pattern when it is connected to the computer. Am I doing something wrong? Is my drum machine broken? Or is it just not possible? Please help me! Any reply would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am having the same problem, only I can't seem to get it to sync at all. I am trying to slave it to my computer using Voyetra Digital Orchestrator Plus (cheap software)
and AWE 64 sound card, but it will not trigger. If I find an ansrew for you I will pass it on, and if you can help me with this problem please do. Thanks

I have a TR-505, Sound Canvas Sc-55, 2 keyboards and a PC conected through a MIDI patch bay (This means that I can route any equipment to any other).

It's possible to tap the TR-505 and listen the sounds on the module or PC , or play the pre-programed patterns and listen on them.

It's also possible to play the keyboard and listen the sounds on the TR-505.

Confirm that your pre-programed patterns are running (look if the led flashes or if the TR-505 makes sounds). Is your MIDI sync adjusted to Internal or External?)
You have to press shft MIDI button several times to pass through all the MIDI functions.

The only point you have to pay attention is if your MIDI sync and MIDI channel are compatible (between PC and TR-505).
