Hi, I think I've finally worked out how Guitar Mode works on the PA800. Finished my first guitar mode style. Pretty basic, I don't really consider myself a musician ( just a hobbyist) but I did have a lot of fun doing it. Once the basics have been worked out , it's such a simple way of recording a guitar style track. If any Korg PA800/PA2X users would like a copy, downloadable at ( you do have to be a member) http://www.createsongstyles.com/forum/index.php?topic=5522.msg16876#msg16876
Didn't want your efforts to go un-noticed or un-appreciated. The rhumba style is nice; works great on my PA2X.
Don't know if it would be possible for you to talk us through the process or at least give us enough info to get started. I don't know where to begin! But would like to learn. For the most part bass, drums, and guitar are about all the backing I want.
ALSO, I watched the demo on "guitar mode" but my German is non existant. However, I thought I understood that there are some styles created using "guitar mode" that already exist on the PA series. If this is true do you know how to access them??
Thanks, Don P

Hi Adimatis, I don't record. The only mp3 I ever did was directly thru Band in a Box & a softsynth & prior to that my KN7000, but I did it directly to software that came with the keyboard. In short , foolproof. I don't have the mp3 function with my Korg.
best wishes Rikki

Hi Don, thank you. The guitar mode option is brilliant.. Trying to work it out from the manual, makes it sound so complicated , & basically it's not.
In the upgrade 1.51 manual, there's a list of 40 styles that Korg updated with Guitar mode. Also the details are in the manual. It came as a PDF with the 1.51 o.s. download. The PA800 tracks are more complex than mine.
Guitar Mode just opened up a whole new world for me by allowing me to create basic but hopefully useable styles ie simple drum, bass, guitar ( & maybe strings)..
best wishes Rikki
p.s. you access the guitar mode tracks in Record Mode. Choose one of the 40 styles, Guitar Moded normally use an instrument Real xxx Guitar. You can also tell because the tab at the bottom goes from greyed out to black. If you go into event edit mode of that track you'll see the notes.
