My 4yr old seems to have done something to my D10 that makes some keys useless most of the time. Most often its a group of about an octave and a half near the center of the board, but sometimes its other groups. Every once in a great while, all keys actually work again for a little while.

Has anyone ever seen symptoms similar?
Can anynoe advise on my options for repair?

Thanks in advance,
Steve

Sounds like the rubber contact strips underneath the keys.
I saw that problem a lot with D10's / D20's / S10's.
You will have to clean the contacts, it will take some time because of the number of screws but I think it will solve your problem.

Heh...the number of screws isn't that much of a problem. I've tackled them before to replace the battery. Since I haven't had a chance to get it in to an authorized repair service yet (there are two located nearby) I'll have a look at the keys.
