I just dowloaded the SC880 v1.4 upgrade from Roland's Denmark website. There were no read me texts available with it and I was wondering how to set up the SC880 so it will accept an OS upgrade.

Thanks,
EPU.

I recently downloaded an upgrade for my A-70
It came in the form of a standard midi file.
It also came with some instuction's.
I just had to hit a few button's , and play the file's.
From the midi out on my sequencer to the midi in on the unit I was upgrading.

I've upgrded my other Roland equipment by the way of SMF files before, but instructions came along with those other downloads packed in ZIP files.

In this case, no instructions came along with my download and while I use my XP50 sequencer to play the MIDI files into the SC880, the SC880 doesn't seem to be doing anything whatsoever and I seem to notice no differences when I finish playing all of the data.

Most of my other Roland equipment require a few button pushes on the Gear that needs upgrading to put it into some kind of "Upgrade Ready" mode. How do I do this on the SC880?

The Upgrade did come with some "Finder.DAT" files. What are those?

Thanks,
EPU.
