Anytime I use "Somber Strings" or Full Orch" I get about 1.5 seconds of nice clean note and then the notes go sour, its drivin me crazy, I've tried everything:
new strings = no help
string sensitivity = 2
Play/Feel = hard (to cancel excess noise)
release = 0 thru 50
Attack = 0 thru 50
I tried muting very carefully = no go The "Hold" pedal helps somewhat.
I have the GK-2A pickup, not the GK-3A, I installed it perfectly,(1 mm) Could that be it? Whats the difference?
Is there something wrong with my GR? All other sounds work fine.
Any help appreciated, Thanx.

When you say the notes go sour what is actually happening to the sound ... is it going flat??

I'm not sure what you are using to control modulation with yout MIDI guitar ( on a keyboard it is the mod wheel ) but make sure that isn't on as it definately could be causing the sort of problem you mention.

Yes, it goes horribly flat. But not all the time. 80% of the time the orchestra is perfect. Every once in a while its as though several violin players go out of tune and its always at the end of a sustained note.

I'm going from the GR-33 straight into a BOSS BR-532 without any MIDI device, if that matters.
You mentioned a "Mod Wheel," is it possible I'm overdriving (over-mod-ing) my unit? (I did that regularly as a kid, almost to the point of blindness)
I'll try decreasing the signal output between the two, and let you know.
Thanx-a-million for your help.
KP.
