Anyone having difficulty with IE today? I usually use Firefox, but wanted to try something with IE and it just seems to 'hang' while connecting ...

It failed twice on me today. Personally I hate IE. I got that lovely Vista message box (Internet Explorer Not Responding)

Make sure you have all the latest updates, and if you’re using Vista, then upgrade to XP as it is far superior to Vista. (Vista really is a totally crap OS)
If you’re using Firefox, make sure you have your anti spyware up to date, as mine has to work overtime to keep out all the crap that Firefox try’s to let in. (Hardly needs to do any work at all with IE)
Aren’t computers wonderful?

Vista just stinks period! I hate that OS. My wife's laptop has Vista.., my PC is using XP. I'll take XP over Vista in a heartbeat.

Another thing I noticed is Vista is like freakin updating every 60 seconds! Scan this, run that... The Vista OS with all it's various programs really dogs your RAM.

Also I don't know what you guys are using for Anti-Virus, but Norton will destroy your RAM. The current Norton program IS NOT CPU friendly... Norton slows my PC down all the time. I've got over a gig of RAM on my PC, and I swear you can hear the CPU panting at times.

Are you using Zone Alarm? If so, you will need to update it because the recent XP update had a conflict that wouldn't let it connect to the internet when you had Zone Alarm running.
Zone Alarm issued an update either yesterday or today.
Hope this helps. It did for me.
