Donny, I would hazard a guess that on a per unit basis, the arrangers for Yamaha and Roland are very profitable.
Whereas the "Pro" divisions, being much more cut-throat, have the costs cut to the bone.
Why on earth a Motif ES 6 was about $2k cheaper than the Tyros 2, (and probably the same margin will be on the T3)-v-Motif XS, is beyond my figuring???
But then Korg are the same, look at the price of the M3 compared to the PA2xpro..
I guess as long as people don't mind getting gouged, and the arranger market (in the US) remains so small it will always be so. It is the same out here too, arranger market is very small.
