Is it possible to record a song in real-time on either the DR-5 and/or the DR-660 instead of having to just repeat a couple of measures?

If so, is it then possible to quantize the song?

I am looking for a drum machine/sequencer to create somewhat complicated rhythms without having to be limited by loop based systems.

Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated.
