A song that's normally played in a band, when there is an 'intricate' drum roll and "session", how would you do that on an arranger? fill in? intro perhaps? variation?

Using Korg...

Never mind. I was trying to copy something I heard, and realized it's a simple fill-in.

No Shim the pads are used IN conjunction with the style, and automatically follow the style tempo as well.

You can have four pads per style if you want.

So you could have 4 different rolls if you wanted!!

Having thought about it is what you are trying to do have the drum roll INSTEAD of the style spounding? Like a snare build up like in dance and house?

If so then teh pads won't work, well they will, bu you probably wont hear it and you probably want this to stand out...

Just load the style, go to style edit and remove one of the fills, and the easiest would be to insert a mifi file of a pre-recorded drum roll, via import midi..just enusre it is a midi file 0..That way you cna get the roll to sound as a fill with perfect timing to match the next bar.

You can make this fill as long as you like.

Shim,

There is a GM multi-pad/midi drum roll available, which I believe will work on the Korg. You may want to Google for this one and try it in your Korg.

Good Luck,

Gary
