My MKS70 Flourescent Indicator Panel, FIP, has gone dark. I've owned it since I purchased it brand new in 1986. Still sounds great and responds to MIDI but cannot see anything at all. I just brought it into my service center to check it out but I am trying to head off a bigger problem. I called Roland and they have no more displays...been discontined... and no ideas as to where to even begin to look for one. Just in case my tech finds out that the FIP has actually gone dead...anyone have any ideas as to where to find a new or used functioning FIP screen?

Thanks!

Hi.

I spend much time fixing mine. Look at the two transistors on the display board and the coil. One of them might be dead. I don't believe it's the FIP itself. The coil seems to develop corrosion on it's legs and creats a bad contacts sometimes. Be careful when handling it, the display board use high voltage
