With respect to sounds, is the roland JV2020 or one of their other sound modules better than the fantum rx? I know that the fantum rx has the sampling option
and the 6 expantion board options. Are their any other differences? Would both of them tend to have the same sounds? Are both of them the same when it
comes to using an external sequencer?

I hope these are not too many questions.

Thanks

The 5080 would be the closest comparison to the Fantom....The main difference, these modules incorporate stereo samples..

ALL the old JV units only use mono waveforms. Some XV patches use stereo tones, and Fantom X uses many stereo waves. Fantom XR allows for much more expansion. The JV units are not really even in the running anymore. It's pretty much XV and Fantom.

Well it looks like if I will be looking at the fantom module. For two primary reasons: lots of sounds especially the fantom X piano and the sampling capability. Would any one know the cheapest way to get one of them?
